The Sangiacomo Family
Winegrowing is in our blood
Our family has always felt a deep connection to the land — most especially through farming and winegrowing. Our roots run deep in Sonoma where our family has farmed since 1927 when our grandparents Vittorio and Maria Sangiacomo purchased the historic Eden Dale farmstead. There they cultivated a variety of fruit trees, ultimately becoming one of the largest northern California grower of pears. Slowly over time, our family transitioned all orchards to vineyards and we now have over fifty years of grapegrowing experience under our belts.
In 2016 we crafted our first vintage of estate wines for our namesake brand, Sangiacomo Family Wines, and launched Eden Dale in 2021. Today we farm 1,600 acres of premium chardonnay and pinot noir vineyards, sell grapes to over 70 wineries, and continue to craft small quantities of artisan wine.
As stewards of the land, we are proud to continue the rich agricultural tradition that began well over a century ago and continues to be the foundation of our good fortune.
